Plus Art

To coincide with the Frieze art fair in Regent’s Park, the third incarnation of Plus Art will be held in a 5000 square foot warehouse just off Brick Lane and – fittingly - underneath Atlantis, the biggest art materials suppliers in Europe.

Curated and produced by neonist Kerry Ryan and artist Declan McMullan, the temporary gallery will exhibit original works by Tracey Emin, Gavin Turk, Douglas Gordon, Mat Collishaw, Polly Morgan, Sarah Lucas, Franko B, Joseph Kosuth, Anselm Keifer, Melville Mitchell, Damien Hirst and many more.

Maintaining Plus Art’s open-all-hours principle of the previous two years, the gallery’s doors will not be shut throughout the day and night. That means one hundred hours of painting, sculpture, video and installation made by more than sixty artists.

Social lubrication will be provided by live bands and a bar.

Notes for Editors:

East End neonist Kerry Ryan has been working as a fabricator for London’s contemporary art world for 25 years. His list of clients includes Anselm Keifer, Franko B, Mustafa Hulusi, Mark Titchener and Mat Collishaw. He has been Tracey Emin’s personal neon-maker for 16 years.
Kerry ran Neon Gallery in Spitalfields from 2000-2006 and opened a new shop and gallery on Cambridge Heath Road in Bethnal Green.

Declan McMullan is an artist and independent curator based in London. As an artist, Declan has exhibited widely across Europe and has also curated numerous exhibitions in London. As a technician and fabricator, Declan works closely with artists and has worked with the majority of established museums and galleries in London.

Plus Art is the third in a series of collaborative events and exhibitions.
